DOWNCONVERTER.
This
is a used, good condition MDS (wireless cable) converter for 2300 MHz.
down to channel 2 (54 MHz.). It consists of a ring mixer, crystal
controlled
oscillator, multiplier and interdigital filter. Can be modified by an
experienced
technician to cover the Weather Satellites at 1691 MHz. with output on
137.5 MHz. Just change the crystal and add capacitors to lower the
frequency
of the input. Schematic included. No instructions for conversion. Type
"N" input receptacle with 2 type "F" output receptacles. One is a 25 dB
attenuated test output. Power is supplied through the lead-in cable.
Operates
from 12-16 Volts DC at approximately 100 mA. Power supply not included.
The gasketted, weather proof extruded aluminum case alone is worth our
selling price of only $15 plus $8 shipping in the USA by UPS.
